Most of us know IKEA for producing simply designed, solid light pine style furniture that comes in handy flat pack boxes. Recently though they’ve expanded their range to include some stunning mid-century modern furniture in their Stockholm range.
The range stretches from sofas, through shelves to TV benches and beyond. Each piece is elegantly styled and tends towards the darker wood colours such as oak, rather than more traditional IKEA blonde pine. The finishing touches are excellent with lightly self-closing drawers and subtly integrated features used to full effect. This is truely grown up IKEA and well worth checking out (US, UK).
